What exactly does GridScan Pro look for in a listing?+
GridScan analyzes every word in a listing's description and any available text — then scores it against 40+ weighted power infrastructure keywords. Higher-voltage indicators like "13.8kV," "utility substation," and "69kV" carry the heaviest scores because they signal genuinely industrial-scale electrical capacity. More common terms like "3-phase" or "480V" carry lighter scores. AI vision then adds an image analysis layer — scanning property photos for transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, and voltage labels to estimate MW capacity independently of the text.
How accurate is the AI image analysis?+
Accuracy depends on the quality of listing photos. When a property photo clearly shows a pad-mounted transformer, breaker labeling, or electrical panel specs, the AI can estimate MW capacity with reasonable confidence using standard sizing formulas (e.g., a visible 2,500 kVA transformer ≈ 2 MW available). When photos are low-resolution, show only exterior shots, or contain no electrical equipment, the AI scores conservatively (Score: 1) rather than guessing — so false positives from image analysis are rare. The keyword score always runs independently, meaning a property with strong textual indicators will score high even if image analysis is inconclusive.
What score should I be filtering for?+
It depends on your use case. For AI data center or large-scale EV charging site sourcing, we recommend filtering for a combined score of 20+ — properties at that level typically have explicit high-voltage references (substation, 13.8kV, MVA) in their listings. For general heavy manufacturing or cold storage sourcing, a threshold of 8–15 catches properties with solid 3-phase, 480V infrastructure without requiring utility-grade power. Starter users can adjust the threshold in the dashboard; Professional and Enterprise clients can additionally tune individual keyword weights to match their specific deal thesis.
Which markets does GridScan cover?+
GridScan covers any US city or metro area — you type a location and it resolves it to a precise geographic boundary for the search. Starter plans run one market at a time. Professional plans support up to 5 simultaneous markets on a daily scrape cadence. Enterprise plans are unlimited. High-demand markets for power-ready industrial sourcing include Dallas–Fort Worth, Phoenix, Houston, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Denver, and the Carolinas — all active corridors for data center and advanced manufacturing investment.
What does the $149 platform access fee cover?+
It's a one-time platform unlock — paid once when you sign up, and it permanently activates your account regardless of which plan you're on or how many times you switch plans. Your first month of whichever subscription tier you choose is free, so the access fee is your only cost for the first 30 days. Think of it as the key to the platform — you pay for it once and it never expires.
Can I customize the keyword scoring to match my deal criteria?+
Yes — keyword customization is available on the Professional and Enterprise plans. You can adjust the weight of any existing keyword, add proprietary terms relevant to your asset class (e.g., "cold storage," "cannabis," "crypto mining"), and remove keywords that aren't relevant to your search thesis. What format does the output come in?+

Workflow Automation (built on n8n) is for tasks that follow a defined, repeatable path — a trigger fires, steps execute in sequence, outputs are delivered. It's deterministic, rule-based, and highly reliable. The Dedicated AI Agent (Mac Mini running 24/7) handles unstructured, open-ended work — the kind where you'd normally send a message to a human assistant and say "figure it out." The agent can browse the web, read and write emails, evaluate context, make judgment calls, and take multi-step actions autonomously. Most clients end up wanting both: automation for their repeatable processes and an agent for the messy, dynamic work that doesn't fit a flowchart.
Do I need any technical knowledge to use an AI agent?+
No. That's the point. You interact with your agent the same way you'd text an assistant — in plain English, from your phone. "Summarize everything in my inbox from the last 48 hours." A Mac Mini sitting on your network operates with the same access as a person sitting at a computer: it can open apps, manage files, interact with software that doesn't have an API, and maintain persistent context 24/7. It's also a single fixed cost rather than an unpredictable cloud compute bill, and the hardware stays on your premises — keeping sensitive business data under your control.
What tools and platforms can the workflow automation connect to?+
n8n integrates natively with 400+ services — including Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Notion, Airtable, QuickBooks, Stripe, Typeform, Shopify, and most platforms with an API or webhook. If a tool you use isn't on the built-in list, we can usually connect it via a generic HTTP request node. If a platform has no API at all, that's a case where the Dedicated Agent tier is better suited.
What does the monthly retainer actually include?+
The retainer covers everything required to keep your system working and improving over time: monitoring for workflow failures or agent errors, updates when connected platforms change their APIs or interfaces, adding new automations or agent skills as your needs evolve, and a monthly check-in to review performance and identify new opportunities. Workflow Automation builds typically take 1–3 weeks from scoping call to delivery, depending on the number of workflows and integrations involved. The Dedicated AI Agent setup — which includes shipping the Mac Mini, on-site installation, configuration, and integration testing — typically runs 2–4 weeks. Complex setups requiring custom integrations or travel to your location may take longer. Both timelines are scoped explicitly during the discovery call, and nothing starts until you've approved the scope and pricing.
Is my business data safe?+
For Workflow Automation, data flows through n8n, which can be self-hosted on your own server or VPS — meaning it never touches Viper Software's infrastructure at all. For the Dedicated AI Agent, the Mac Mini is a physical device on your network: data stays on your premises and inside your existing accounts (email, calendar, etc.) just as it would with any employee's computer. We don't store, log, or have ongoing access to your business data after setup. If your industry has specific compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.), we can discuss architecture options that meet those standards during the discovery call.
Why is pricing custom rather than listed?+
Because every engagement is genuinely different. A single-workflow automation connecting two tools is a fundamentally different scope from an eight-workflow system integrating a CRM, billing platform, and project management tool. Similarly, a Dedicated Agent setup for a solo operator in the same city as our team is a different project from one requiring travel and multi-system integration for a 20-person firm. Publishing a flat price would either overcharge simple clients or underprice complex ones. The Origin
Cornell University — Economics

Viper Software was founded by a Cornell University economics student who saw a market inefficiency and built the tool to fix it. The academic background in economics and market analysis isn't just a credential — it's the lens through which every product at Viper Software is designed.

The core thesis is simple: every business has flows — information, capital, and operations — and the ones that optimize those flows operate at a higher level. Today Viper Software builds property intelligence AI agents, workflow automation systems, and high-performance websites to make that optimization real.

It started with GridForge Capital LLC — a commercial real estate property hunting operation sourcing high-potential industrial listings for a broker partner. Listing by listing, reading every description looking for "13.8kV" or "pad-mounted transformer" — hours of work per market that didn't have to be.

So the first version of GridScan was built to automate the search. When it worked, it was clear there was something worth selling. GridForge Capital LLC remains the legal entity; Viper Software is its public-facing brand (DBA). The product was rebuilt from scratch as a proper web application, and the Viper Software brand was launched.
